What is Microsoft Power BI?

Microsoft Power BI is a business intelligence platform used to connect to data, transform it, build data models, and publish interactive dashboards and reports. It helps teams analyze trends, track KPIs, and automate recurring reports across departments such as finance, HR, sales, and operations.

This course covers end-to-end BI workflow: importing data with Power Query, modeling with relationships and star schemas, writing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for measures, and designing effective visuals. Learners practice with real datasets and publish to Power BI Service for sharing, refresh scheduling, and row-level security (RLS).

  • Publish to workspace, set scheduled refresh, apply RLS for stakeholder roles

Entry Requirements

  • No strict prerequisite; prior exposure to Excel/CSV tables is helpful.
